Centre hopes to hold J&K polls by year end

With the Delimitation Commission on the verge of completing its exercise in Jammu & Kashmir, the Centre is hoping assembly polls shall be conducted in the Union Territory along with Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh by the end of this year. Assembly polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh will be due before January next year as the term of the Gujarat assembly is expiring on February 18, 2023 and that of Himachal on January 8, 2023.
