Shimla, February 19
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur remained admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi, today ahead of the Budget session, which is scheduled to commence on February 23.
Thakur, after undergoing check-up and tests at the cardiology department of the IGMC here, had left for New Delhi yesterday. He was admitted to AIIMS "for routine check-up" and was still under treatment there.
A spokesman for the state government said the health parameters of the Chief Minister were normal and he was under the observation of senior doctors at AIIMS.
Thakur, who also holds the finance portfolio, is scheduled to present the Budget proposals for the financial year 2022-23 in the Vidhan Sabha on March 4. The Budget session will have 16 sittings and conclude on March 15. —
