Clarifying in light of the resentment among police personnel who converged at his residence Oak Over in large numbers, he said they have not been appointed on contract basis. "We are examining the issue and trying to find a way out. As per service rules, the court too rejected their claim," said Thakur.

He said prior to 2013, recruitment and service rules were different, which were changed in 2015. "The situation is very clear that they are regular employees but still we are trying to find a way out as we want to help them," said Thakur. — TNS
