Campaign on child-mother health on cards

Shimla, December 7

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said a special campaign would be launched to sensitise people about the importance of mother-child health during a workshop organised by the NITI Aayog and the state government on 'Poshan and Cooperative Federalism' here today.

He said awareness must be created at the grassroots level so that nutrition could be made a mass movement. "The state government has completed the training of Anganwari workers and now 18,925 Anganwari workers and 5,99,643 beneficiaries are being registered on nutrition tracker. For the management of severely malnourished and moderately malnourished children, a standard operating procedure has been prepared in coordination with the HP National Health Mission and Women and Child Development," he said. —TNS
