Virtual moot court competition

The Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, successfully organised the 2nd National Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2021, from October 29 to 31. The competition saw the participation of 64 teams from across the country. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Justice Surya Kant (Supreme Court of India), co-panelled by Prof (Dr) Nishtha Jaswal (Vice Chancellor, HPNLU) and Guest of Honour, Justice CB Barowalia (Judge, HP High Court). Justice Surya Kant highlighted the importance of mooting and exhorted all students to actively take part in such competitions. He appreciated the approach of the competition.

600-kg plastic waste collected

The NSS unit of Government College, Sanjauli, collected 600-kg plastic from various parts of the city as part of the Swachh Bharat campaign. The students also tried to raise awareness about the perils of plastic through a street play. The NSS unit ran the Swachh Bharat campaign from October 1 to October 31. Praising the volunteers for their efforts, college principal CB Mehta wished for a bright future for them.
