Traffic jams irk commuters

Lower Totu, one of the busiest localities of Shimla, witnesses massive traffic jams almost every day as people park their vehicles haphazardly on both sides of the road. The problem is persisting but the authorities concerned have not bothered to find a solution to this teething problem.

Open dumpers attract animals

The dumpers placed at the roadsides outside the main city, close to the forest, must be closed properly at all times. The garbage attracts dogs and monkeys for food, and the presence of these animals here can lure wild animals, like leopards, in search of a prey.
