Ganesh Dutt slams Cong’s star campaigners

Shimla, October 10

The Himachal BJP today accused the Congress of playing in the hands of "anti- national" elements. "It is unfortunate that some of the past actions of their star campaigners are questionable," said head of State Election Management Committee Ganesh Dutt, who is also chairman of HIMFED.

While Navjot Siddhu hugged a top officer of Pakistan Army, Kanhaiya Kumar raised questionable slogans concerning India, Dutt told media persons here.

"On the other hand, the BJP is a party that stands for the nation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has demonstrated how India can fight for defending the motherland by ordering surgical strikes," he said.

The PM efficiently handled the Covid 19 pandemic crisis. He said Himachal was the first state to administer the first dose of vaccination to all eligible persons. He chided the Congress for raising the issue of inflation, price rise. "What steps were taken by the Congress while in power to bring down the prices and what happened to populist slogan of "garibi hatao" (eradicate poverty)," he questioned. — TNS
