As many as 87 new Covid cases were reported today while five persons — three in Mandi and one each in Kangra and Shimla — succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases was 1,345 with total positive cases being 2,20,479. The fatality figure rose to 3,688.
The highest number of 22 cases was recorded in Kangra, followed by 20 in Hamirpur, 17 in Una, 11 in Mandi, eight in Bilaspur, seven in Shimla and two in Solan.
