Congress promoting dynasty politics, alleges Randhir Sharma

Mandi, October 9

BJP spokesperson Randhir Sharma today alleged that the Congress was promoting dynasty politics in the state.

Sharma, while addressing mediapersons here, said, "The Congress is promoting dynasty politics on three of the four constituencies going to byelections by fielding Pratibha Singh from Mandi, Bhawani Singh Pathania from Fatehpur and Rohit Singh Thakur from Jubbal-Kotkhai. The BJP has given ticket to common party workers to contest the byelections. It shows that the BJP is the party of common workers".

"Congress leaders have been provoking their workers to abuse BJP leaders, which is against the culture of Himachal. They are playing the emotional card to woo voters by asking for votes in the name of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh," he added.

Sharma said that Shimla (Rural) MLA Vikramaditya Singh's statement that if the Congress comes to power in the state, he would teach government employees a lesson was tantamount to threatening them. — TNS
