Shimla, August 11
Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj today said plastic waste was no longer a problem as it was being used as fuel in cement plants and for the construction of roads.
The minister was replying to a question on the poor waste management in the urban areas raised by Vishal Nehria under Rule 62 in the Vidhan Sabha. Bhardwaj said the local bodies were purchasing the plastic waste from people which was being used as fuel in cement plants and in road construction. — TNS
