Miscreants booked for causing ruckus

Some persons from Dharamsala have been booked by the Kangra police for creating ruckus and threatening a resident, identified as Akshay Sood, of the Ekjot Colony in Ram Nagar area of Dharamsala.

The sources said some 'rich brats', belonging to influential families of Dharamsala and Kangra parked their vehicles outside the house of Akshay Sood, yesterday, late in night, and created a ruckus.

As per the sources, Akshay called the police for help in the middle of night. As soon as the police arrived, the men fled from the spot, leaving behind their luxury vehicles, including a Mahindra Thar jeep and a BMW car.

The police took the cars in their custody and registered a case under Sections 341, 147, 149, 504 and 506 of the IPC. The accused in the case have been asked to join investigation on Wednesday.

SP Kangra Vimukt Ranjan said he had got a call from Amit Sood, father of Akshay, yesterday night. "I directed the police to register a case and book the accused."
