No end to stray cattle menace

D espite tall claims of the state government about sheltering abandoned stray cattle in gaushalas, a large number of these animals can be seen roaming on roads. Cattle move on the busy Shimla-Solan national highway where hundreds of vehicles ply daily and the possibility of accidents, especially during night and fog, can't be ruled out. The government should ensure that action is taken on its announcement and the needful is done.

Growing addiction to make videos

It seems people just can't resist making videos or clicking photographs of extraordinary events, even if they are not pleasant. At Panthaghati in Shimla on Wednesday, a landslide occurred in which a car got damaged. People crossing the site, on foot or in vehicles, would invariably pull out their phones and make videos. In the process, many a time they slowed down the already slow-moving traffic at the site.
