Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Ji urged the Maharashtra Government to provide assistance to residents of Himachal Pradesh stuck in Mumbai and other places in Maharashtra in wake of countrywide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In a letter written to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray, Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government was receiving several SOS calls for Himachalis stranded in Maharashtra and for extending necessary assistance to them. He said that most of these people want to come back to their native places.
Chief Minister also urged his Maharashtra counterpart to take care of the stranded residents of Himachal Pradesh and ensure proper food, shelter and medical care to them.
He said that Himachal Pradesh Government was ensuring all possible help to the people of other States stranded in the State.
CM flagged off three trucks loaded with relief material:
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Ji here today flagged off three trucks loaded with relief material containing food and essential commodities donated by Art of Living for free distribution by International Association for Human Values.
CM thanked Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his generosity:
While interacting with the media on the occasion, Chief Minister thanked the Art of Living and its founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for this generosity and said that this would go a long way in providing relief to the needy. He said that this philanthropic act would also inspire other organizations to come forward and contribute for the society.
He said that out of these three trucks, two trucks would be sent to Mandi district and one to Shimla district.
NCC Cadets playing an important role in sensitizing masses regarding COVID-19 pandemic: CM
The NCC Cadets in the State were playing important role in sensitizing the masses regarding coronavirus pandemic in various parts of the State and also supplementing the efforts of the State Government in breaking the cycle of this virus. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while interacting with Group Commander NCC Group Headquarter Brig. Rajeev Thakur and Deputy Group Commandant Col. Suresh Bhaik here today.
The Chief Minister lauded the role of NCC cadets in preparing and distribution of masks to the general public. He said that NCC cadets were also rendering yeoman service in maintaining supply of essential commodities to the needy.
People of Nadaun Assembly Constituency contribute Rs 915347 towards HP SDMA COVID-19
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Ji was presented cheques of Rs 9,15,347 by Vice Chairman HRTC Vijay Agnihotri as contribution on behalf of people of Nadaun Assembly Constituency towards ‘HP SDMA COVID-19 State Disaster Response Fund’ here today.
