Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Ji here today launched Madhuyastiadi Kashay (Kada), a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine prepared by the State Aryuveda Department to enhance immunity of the people in the wake of corona pandemic.
Product to be provided free of cost to corona warriors:
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the Ayurvedic product would help in boosting immunity and added that it would be provided free of cost to all the corona warriors like doctors, paramedical staff, police, senior citizens and all corona survivors of the State. He said that in accordance with budget announcement made in the Budget 2020-21, this ayurvedic medicine would also be provided free of cost to all the senior citizens of the State.
Chief Minister said that providing Madhuyastiadi Kashay (Kada) free of cost to the Corona warriors was a gesture of gratitude by the State Government towards their selfless service. He said that even Prime Minister in his address to the Nation during ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme had advised the people to follow the guidelines of Ayush Ministry to enhance body immunity.
Ayurvedic preparation would go a long way in boosting the immunity of corona warriors and senior citizens
Jai Ram Thakur said that since senior citizens and corona warriors were more vulnerable to infection, this ayurvedic preparation would go a long way in boosting immunity of these categories. He said that the State Government would not only ensure free distribution of this preparation to the senior citizens but would also provide them all ayurvedic medicines free of cost.
Chief Minister also distributed this preparation to few corona warriors including doctors and police personnel.
Special campaign to be launched to medically examine people entering Himachal Pradesh
While holding video conferencing meeting in the wake of corona virus with all the Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and Chief Medical Officers of the State from Shimla today, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Ji said that a special campaign would be launched on the analogy of Active Case Finding Campaign to medically examine the people entering to Himachal Pradesh from other States and these persons would be kept in home quarantine. He asked the officers that it should be ensured that they do not jump from home quarantine.
Data to be maintained of people coming from red zones:
Jai Ram Thakur asked the officers to compile the data of such persons who have arrived in Himachal Pradesh from other States and if a person had come from red zone he must be kept in quarantine centre.Chief Minister directed the officers to ensure strict compliance of guidelines of Union Ministry of Home Affairs and make elaborate arrangements to bring the people of Himachal Pradesh stranded in other States. He said that State Government had already appointed adequate number of supporting officers to the Nodal Authority to coordinate movement of the migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons both within and outside the State.
He urged the representatives of PRIs and Urban Local Bodies to keep a close vigil on the persons who had returned from other States and persuade them to strictly follow the norms of home quarantine. He said that Himachal Pradesh was in a comfortable position till now and it must be ensured that this situation is maintained at all costs.
efforts to be made to revive the economic activities especially in green zones:
Jai Ram Thakur said that efforts should be made to start economic activities particularly in the green zones. He said that special thrust must be laid on providing smooth movement of essential commodities and farming equipments. He said that people should also be motivated to wear face masks and face covers as this could check spread corona virus.
Chief Minister said that since selective shops were allowed to open in certain areas, but it must be ensured that effective social distancing is maintained there and everyone uses face masks and sanitizer.
CM expresses grief over demise of Guild's CEO
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Ji has expressed grief over demise of CEO of the Film and Television Producers Guild Kulmeet Makkar who passed away at Dharamshala today morning after suffering a massive heart attack. He was at Dharamshala since lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chief Minister lauded the contributions of Makkar to entertainment industry and said that this would be an inspiration for the younger generate Jai Ram Thakur Jiprayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
