CM Jai Ram Thakur Ji thanked people of Seraj Constituency for contributing Rs. 25 lakh towards PM CARES and HP SDMA









While addressing the BJP office bearers, booth palaks and party workers of Seraj Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district through video conferencing from Shimla, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur thanked the people of the area for contributing about Rs. 25 lakh towards PM CARES and HP SDMA COVID -19 State Disaster Response Fund. He said that this amount would help the State Government in providing PPE kits and other safety equipment to the corona warriors.

CM urged people to download Aarogya Setu app:

The Chief Minister urged the people to download Arogya Setu App as this would go a long way in preventing spread of COVID-19 virus. He said that this App was an important weapon to fight coronavirus, as with the help of GPS and Bluetooth sensor it sends out notification whenever one comes in contact with infected person.
Jai Ram Thakur said that since the harvesting season of wheat and peas is at its peak, people should maintain social distancing, besides wearing face covers. He said that government was ensuring adequate arrangements for smooth transportation of agriculture produces to the markets. He urged the workers to sensitize people regarding coronavirus.

PM Narendra Modi ji appreciated the ACF drive, has asked others to replicate:

Chief Minister said that the party workers should also motivate the people to avoid any kind of social and religious gatherings, as this could be risky in catching the coronavirus. He also asked the workers to ensure that no one in the area goes without food. He said that particular care should be taken of labourers from other States working in the area.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently held a video conferencing with Chief Ministers of the States. He said that even Prime Minister has appreciated Active Case Finding Campaign launched by the Himachal Pradesh government and has asked other States to replicate the same. He said that state government has also requested the Centre Government to allow a few economic activities in the state but at the same time it has favoured extension in the lockdown.

Govt. has allowed the entrance of the people stranded, and will have to remain in quarantine for 14 days:

He said that the government has allowed entering the people of the State stranded in other States. He said that although all of them were being medically examined before entering the state but it must be ensured that they remain in home quarantine for atleast next 14 days. He said that elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions must ensure that whoever visits the village does not jump the home quarantine.

Himachal Doordarhan Gyanshala started for students amidst lockdown:

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Government has allowed the Public Works Department and Jal Shakti Vibhag to start work in their jurisdiction by effectively maintaining social distancing. He said that government has also ensured that studies of the students do not suffer due to the lockdown. Thus, it had decided to optimally use Doordarshan and Information Technology in educating the students. He said that government had started Himachal Doordarshan Gyanshala for e-learning of school children.

CM expressed grief over fire incident in Shishtwari village


Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Ji expressed grief over tragic fire incident which took place in village Shishtwari of Gram Panchayat Pekha, Chirgaon, Rohru in Shimla district in wee hours today.
According to reports reaching at State headquarters one person has died, two persons sustained injuries and seven houses were gutted into fire, affecting 11 families in this incident.
Jai Ram Thakur directed the district administration to provide immediate relief, ration and other essential articles to the affected families. He said that a fire tender would be placed at Chirgaon, so that it could reach to affected sites at the earliest and mitigate the losses.
