Union Minister of State for civil aviation Shri Jayant Sinha told Shimla MP Sh Virender Kashyap in Lok Sabha that The States of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand, North Eastern Region of India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Islands have been defined as Priority Area(s) for providing connectivity to un-served and under-served airports of the country under UDAN 2.
The Minister told that total 31 heliports have been identified for providing better air connectivity in these states . He told that out of
of 31 Heliports identified under UDAN 2 are of six from Arunachal Pradesh, one from Assam, six from Himachal Pradesh, five from Manipur and thirteen from Uttarakhand.
